Snus is a powdered tobacco that is wet and smokeless, according to the New Nicotine Alliance. It can be purchased pre-packaged in a little sachet or as loose powder (a bit like a mini tea bag). It includes salt, food-grade smoke fragrance flavourings including citrus, bergamot, juniper, herb, or floral scents, and ground tobacco. The majority of Scandinavian snus is made in Sweden, where it is subject to food law regulations.
