A Lighting Fixtures is the part of a luminaire that houses the lamps, acts as a protective enclosure or housing, supplies the lamps with electricity, and has components for regulating the light that is output. The housing has lampholders and, more often than not, reflecting interior surfaces designed to project light from the fixture in precise patterns. A Lighting Fixtures also includes a way to vent hot air and places other light-control tools like diffusers, refractors, shields, and baffles inside of it.
The wire and any additional components, such as starters, ballasts, transformers, and capacitors that are required make up the power component. The light-controlling equipment consists of diffusers, lenses, and louvres. The construction, photometric performance, electrical and acoustical features, installation, and maintenance of fixtures are all covered by the makers' literature.
