Last year I discovered just how amazing the Budesonide inhaler can be and saved my life in the process. Here’s my story about Budecort Inhaler 100 Mcg (Budesonide) and what it has done for me so far, including how it helped to cure me of my asthma and bronchitis without taking any asthma medications at all!
What is asthma?
Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the airways. It causes the airways to narrow and swell, making it difficult to breathe. There is no cure for asthma, but there are medications that can help reduce the severity and frequency of asthma attacks. One medication commonly used to treat asthma is called budesonide. Budesonide comes in an inhaler (a device you use to inhale medication) and is a type of corticosteroid. When budesonide enters your lungs, the cells in your lungs react by producing fewer substances that cause inflammation.
A few months ago I had been struggling with some symptoms of asthma, including wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. I knew these symptoms meant I was on my way toward an attack. So I headed straight over to my doctor's office as soon as possible where they prescribed me with a prescription inhaler containing 2mg of budesonide twice a day until I could see them again in three weeks. Two weeks after starting this treatment my symptoms were completely gone!
Why I was so susceptible to bronchitis?
This winter, I was diagnosed with bronchitis for the third time in my life. I went to the doctor for a check-up and she prescribed me a course of antibiotics. The first two times I got bronchitis were when I was five and seven years old, respectively. Both times, it took at least a week before my symptoms finally subsided. So after two days of taking antibiotics this time around, I started to think that maybe this one won't be as bad as the last two. That's when I woke up one morning feeling like someone had stabbed me in the chest with a knife. It felt like something was stuck in my throat, and every breath sent searing pain through my chest and the left side of my neck.
I tried everything but kept getting worse
I had asthma since I was a kid. It never really bothered me, but when I started high school it seemed to flare up more often and I needed to use my inhaler more often. That's when my doctor prescribed budesonide. The effects were almost immediate- the next day I felt so much better that it felt like a miracle! Now, years later, my asthma is still under control because of this medicine. Without it, I'm not sure what would have happened because sometimes being able to breathe can make all the difference in someone's life.
Then I was introduced to an inhaler with a steroid called budesonide.
My life was in a very dark place, but I found a light. One day, I was walking by the pharmacy and saw an inhaler with a steroid called budesonide on display. I picked it up without hesitation and bought it because it didn't hurt my pockets too much. I started using it that night and felt the effects instantly. The next morning, when I woke up with my asthma coughing fit, the budesonide had already taken effect and soothed my lungs for me. It was like magic!
It changed my life.
I remember the day when I first learned about my condition. I had a chronic asthma attack and an ER doctor told me that my lungs were collapsing and that I would need to take a new medicine for the rest of my life if I wanted to survive. The medicine was Budesonide and it changed my life. It's been over six years since then, and I've never had another asthma attack since taking this inhaler. All thanks to this miraculous drug, I can live out my dreams without being consumed by fear. Now, I'm finally getting married! I just want to say thank you again because without you I would not be able to do any of these things.
